Thai Massage presents great opportunity for physical and spiritual development for all, not just Licensed Professionals and their clients. In urban and rural Thailand it is not unlikely for families and friends to exchange Thai Massage with eachother to help work out the kinks and tense areas of the body. Western society would do well to adopt a practice of massaging each other; touching, pressing and stretching tired and achy muscles with lovingkindness is a rare form of intimacy that is missing in our culture.

Community Thai Massage for Couples:
  Thai massage is very accessible for families and couples. Unlike a western massage where a table, sheets, oils and partial or full nudity are necessary , you can just tell your partner to lay on the floor. This class will discuss safe, therapeutic touch and present simple Thai Massage moves for prone, seated and supine that can be performed in 20 to 30 minutes.

Open Mat Mondays Short, informal Thai Sessions for the public, offered once a month. All sessions are by donation only, and half the proceeds are sent to the Polaris Project, an international organization that works to fight human trafficking and slavery. No appointment necessary - show up and sign in, and take a seat to wait for the next mat available.

Simply put, Metta Meditation brings to our awareness and supports the acknowledgment that everyone we meet is having a human experience, just as we are. Everyone we meet is susceptible to pain, fear, and suffering; everyone we meet longs for joy, love, acceptance, safety, and freedom. By practicing deep, inner compassion and cultivating a peaceful relationship with oneself, then learning to bring others into this circle of understanding helps us to cultivate more peaceful relationships with everyone we meet.
